COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Microwave
  1. Dampen paper towel with water
  2. Keeping the corn husk on, roll tamale in the damp paper towel
  3. Place tamale in microwave for 1.5 to 3 minutes
  4. Once cooked, allow tamale to cool for 1 minute
  5. Carefully remove both paper towel and corn husk. *Caution, may be hot
Steaming Basket
  1. Use a pot and steaming basket
  2. Fill the pot with water to the bottom of the steaming basket
  3. Bring water to a boil over medium heat
  4. Place 1-4 tamales into the basket with the open side facing up and cover. *Cooking more than 4 tamales at a time will require a longer cook time
  5. Steam for 10-12 minutes
  6. Remove from pot, allow to cool and carefully remove corn husks *Caution, Tamales will be hot
